Well I have always thought it would be fun to start a blog. A friend finally talked me into starting. So I am just diving right in. The purpose of this blog is to share the ups and downs of running a historical venue, to talk about the events we host and the exciting things that are happening in the North Georgia area and the have a community to vent to about my crazy life. I will introduce my family and let everyone know what we are up to as well. I hope those following will find this an interesting read!
So this week I am getting ready for a great big awesome birthday party that will be this weekend! DJ, dancing, and lots of food! So we got the tables, chairs, sofa seating, and area rugs all set up yesterday! Thanks to my son, Victor, and 3 of his friends from school we were able to get it all set up in about an hour. So Victor is a junior at North Hall High School and plays soccer and football! He is a great kid, but a typical teenager. He recently got his first girl friend, Ava. So far she is working out great. She cleaned his room and he didn't complain one time while they were helping me move tables. He usually acts so lazy it makes me crazy.
Also, I am so excited because we are getting another B&B room ready this week! We have had two we are renting out, but now we will have three! The theme of the new room is "The Cowboy Room." Come check it out and spend the night. You will love it! We will have pictures by the end of the week on the website.
If you are not aware, Clermont is central to all the great places to visit in Northeast Georgia! We are a quick drive from many great locations! And this week's focus on fun in the North Georgia area is Helen, Georgia! Come stay with us in either the Peacock Room or the Paris Room and take a drive up to Helen. Helen is famous for it's Alpine Village design. There is lots of shopping, an escape room, hiking, Unicoi State Park, Anna Ruby Falls, zip lining and lots more. The weather is starting to warm up and night fall is later each day. It won't be long until Daylight Savings Time. Check out Helen's website for more information.
